**** NEW OPENING ALERT - FINAL ISSUE ****
As I write this email I have a great deal of mixed emotions: excitement, frustration, a sense of the unknown and some sadness. All of these combined explain how I feel looking toward the future. Over the last 12+ years I have been fortunate enough to have worked with many of you during career transitions. I have always considered it a privilege and an honor working with you. I am grateful for and proud of my accomplishments and the ability to say that I have been involved in helping several hundred professionals secure new positions. I trust I have been a resource for countless others during their career transitions.
Due to the changes in the industry and the difficulty the market has had during the past year Precise Strategies, Inc. is going into an inactive status. With some sadness, I must inform you that I will no longer be working in the financial services sector. This decision is one that my wife and I have prayed about and stressed over for the last several months. Several weeks ago, I was contacted by a recruiter and presented an opportunity to join an international organization as a recruiting manager. Wednesday, 9/9/09, I was offered the position. I have accepted the new role and look forward to serving a new industry with the same pride and professionalism I hope you feel I have served you.
Rather than just disappearing or stop returning emails and voicemails I wanted to personally inform you of my decision. I consider many of you friends and believe your loyalty to me deserves this personal approach. It feels like many of you have become extended family. You have been there with me for my marriage, the arrivals of my three sons (who are now 8, 6 & 2), starting Precise Strategies and everything in between. It seems only fitting that I share this next step in the journey, known as my life, with you too!
I would appreciate it if you would forward this information along when someone asks what happened to Glenn and Precise Strategies. I wish you all continued success in your careers. Please know that I value each and every relationship I have developed.
With Fond Memories & Warmest Regards,
Glenn J. Smith, CERS, CPC, CSS, CEIP
